My question involves a child custody case from the State of: South Carolina
SC is number 1 in the nation for CDV and also received a D- for corruption and secrecy in the legal and government system. I lost my two daughters to my ex-husband. The male judge stated that the abuse seemed "unbelievable" due to the bruises not being "big enough". I admitted to one account of weakness. No drugs or anything like that is present with either of us. His family is from a tiny town where it's all about your last name. I am not from that town. They have a lot of money and a lot of connections in the legal system (owning a business and over 30 rental properties). Before appealing the court we asked for a reconsideration. This scared them and they offered to give the girls back if I don't proceed with an appeal. An appeal process takes over 18 months and I missed my girls. I agreed to a week on/week off custody with him as primary. I'm no longer happy. He is completely unfair; not allowing me to see or speak the girls AT ALL during his 7 days and does not allow the girls to be involved in anything. I on the other hand have the girls involved in horse back riding, piano and competition gymnastics. How do I represent myself in court and win them back, full/primary custody?
