Divorce: Divorce Involving a Cosigner for My Car

My question involves a marriage in the state of: Ohio

I have been married for two years and want to get a divorce (to a former army member). I have no ties to my husband other than he co-signed for my car and has made a years worth of payments and insurance for me on it, out of his bank account with my money. Its a Chevy cruise worth about 7-8k and I owe just about that much on it. I am willing to get a divorce without taking anything I own in the house other than my cloths, much of which I have already got out and have moved into another house. I am wondering what he could do about my car if he were to get a lawyer and try to take it from me or something. I think I could just refinance it under another co-signer or trade it in for another cheaper car. I think it would be dumb for him to hire a lawyer to try to do anything, because he has nothing he can take from me. I have school debt and car debt that's all I own, I already took what I want from the house, and just want out of the situation. He will not sign the divorce papers because he gets paid double his wage because he was in the army....

Thanks for the help and bad grammar, I am just pretty flustered about the whole thing.
