My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: TN
I am taking a chapter 7 bankruptcy. I have not paid my mortgage in almost two years, been living in my home waiting for foreclosure and I've used the money I was "saving" by not paying a mortgage for everything I can think of. Dental work, car repairs, paid off some student loan debt, paid up my car insurance, medical insurance policy and bought a life insurance policy. I have about ten grand in a savings account and I'm not going to be able to exempt all of it. So, I was wondering if I could just pay for my daughters new bathtub and a pool for her as a gift? I won't be filing for another 8 months or so.
