My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: West Virginia, Putnam County
I was driving home from school (college student) and the area of interstate is very busy and very difficult to get over from lane to lane. The officer stated that he clocked me at 68mph in a 55mph. I explained that I was trying to get over in the other lane and the car beside me kept speeding up. I was trying to get off on my exit. The officer admitted that the other car was going faster but i had the option to slow down. Yes but if i would have i would have gotten ran over. And I attempted to explain this. His only reply was this is a dangerous area of interstate. I have a radar detector in my car I would not have been speeding, especially since I knew his radar was on, if it had not have been a situation where I could have gotten extremely injured. Is there anything that I can do about this?
