My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: Indiana
I was pulled over for speeding and the officer wrote me a ticket for having a suspended license. I had no idea my license was suspended and he told me something should have been sent in the mail saying that when someone hit my car I needed to send them proof of insurance. Nothing was ever sent to my address regarding this and I went to the bmv just a couple days before to get plates for my new car and they didn't say anything about it to me. Am I really to be responsible for this when the state didn't do their part in notifying me or do I have a chance to appeal this?
