Heirs and Beneficiaries: What Happens Now

My question involves estate proceedings in the state of: California

Hi everyone ,

My dad were separated but not legally. She bought a house in her name.
She died. Now he is going to court to get that house. He went to court after 1 half after her death.

So my question what what happens now. Will they automatically give it to my father even after filing
over a year and a half while my mom who was deceased name still on house.
