My question involves criminal law for the state of: TX
I was about to go into business with another store owner. We have no contracts and I am not her employee. She gave me her credit card to purchase innovatory for her store. I used her card to purchase innovatory for her store and my personal store. The intent was to sale the inventory and repay her card. She found out and I gave her all of the inventory and she is selling it in her store. After a few months she is now trying to say I embezzled from her and asking for cash to cover the costs. If she sales all of the inventory she will triple her money. Can she say this is a loss if she will get her money back? What options do I have? Can I be held liable if I never took position of the goods and have no monetary gain?
