Changing a Child's Name: 2 Year Old Last Name Changing, Father Not on Birth Certificate and Not Apart of Life

My question involves name change laws in the State of: New Hampshire

My daughter is 2 years old now. I was moved to New Hampshire a month before i had her because i was emotionally abused by her biological dad. He was not there for her birth, therefore she legally does not have a dad. I was young when i had her, 17, and stupid so i thought me and him were going to last forever basically the romeo and juiliet thing. Parents and family did not want us together so i was stupid and wanted him more. So me not thinking i put her last name down as his.:wallbang: After finding out him being unfaithful while i lived in New Hampshire to finish high school and get my life emotionally put back together i decided to end things with him. She has only met him once during her first christmas and that was it. I now live in Michigan and wanted to know if i can legally change her last name to mine without them going after him for permission. No tests have been done to prove he is the father and i have came to terms of parenting on my own. I have told the state "no" to finding him which made it so i couldn't receive extra help with daycare and preschool.

So basically can i call the court to change her last name without him being contacted and without me having to travel to New Hampshire to change it. (Cant travel because commitments at work) and i want to do this before she starts school and starts asking why her last name is different than mine.

Thank you.
