This question involves no injuries.
I was involved in a 3-car collision, me being the first car that was hit. What happened was I was on a 2 lane highway, the lane I was in (left lane) was empty and the lane I was trying to get into (right lane) was busy. I had found an opening at which point I proceeded to turn my blinkers on, slow down, and turn into. The opening was about 3 cars wide. I had started getting into the right lane, however the car in front of me in the right lane had suddenly stopped. Thus causing me to stop.
At this point 75% of my car is in the right lane, while the rest of it is sticking into the left lane. A couple seconds later I get struck by a car in the left lane (the original lane I was on). Few moments after that another car hits the car that struck me, thus causing that car to strike me again.
This is kind of a weird situation, but I don't know whose at fault?
I live in CA btw.
