My question involves real estate located in the State of: MS.
The energy company cut down my hedgerows to the ground, I was not previously informed of the work that was going to be carried out. After checking at the local chancery I could not find where the power company had an easement or right of way to carry out such maintenance. I checked back as far as the records went to 1902. I have reached out to the company but they state they have a right to do this maintenance, my main concern is that my land is now unsecured, and people could drive onto it. I would like for the company to erect a fence to make my property secure again, do I have the right to sue them.
