Appeals: Citing Additional Case Law

My question involves court procedures for the state of: MI

Hello,

I'm aware that parties are not allowed to file evidence, new legal theories, or develop new arguments in the Court of Appeals. How about case law? Is it permissible for appellant/appellee to cite additional case law in the appeal/response brief?
