Traffic Lights, Signs and Controls: VC 21453a - Turned Right on Red Without Stopping (Camera) - Are My Two Defenses Sound

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California

Hello,

I'm planning on fighting a $480 ticket that was generated by a red light camera. The video shows that I crossed the limit line about 1 second after the light changed from yellow to red. I completed the right turn (without stopping) before any other cars starting moving from the other direction, and there were no pedestrians or other cars in front of me, or around the corner. The speed limit on the road is 40 MPH, and I was traveling at that speed prior to making the turn. During the turn, I had slowed down, but I don't know to what speed.

I have two defenses and would like to know how likely it is to have the infraction dismissed based on the strength of the defenses. And it may not make a difference, but my driving record is clean

Defense 1: The red light camera video shows that I was being tailgated by another car (also in the right turn lane) with less than 1 second following distance between us (I have timed it with a stopwatch and frame-by-frame analysis and it is actually only .8 seconds between us.) I was aware of the tailgater at the time the light turned yellow. With such a short following distance, stopping suddenly would have caused a rear-end collision to my car and/or having my car stopped in a dangerous spot ahead of the limit line.

Defense 2:
The caption in one of the still pictures taken by the red light camera shows that the amber/yellow light duration is supposed to be 4.75 seconds, but I have used a stopwatch and frame-by-frame analysis of the red light camera video to time its duration at 4.4x seconds. If the times that are generated by the camera's computer are not accurate, then why should any of the camera evidence be admissible since everything else it is doing could also be incorrectly affected by that calculation? One incorrect variable value can affect countless others in a complex formula.
