My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Tennessee
I am 16 and currently have a 2 and a half month old baby girl. I am desperate. I would like to know my chances of getting emancipated and how to get emancipated. I dont feel safe or accepted. Im constantly beaten down by my mom and brothers and occasionally stepdad. There are many guns in the house that my stepdad owns and gets sometimes hostile and loves to play with them while drunk. My mother refuses to let me get a job or my permit. She wont let me take care of my daughter much and refuses to let my daughters father or any of my dads family including him see her for no reason but the fact she hates them. My daughters father has a car and job and family i can lean on and i have many friends willing to help. My mom has called me many hurtful words and yells at me a lot for no reason. Im desprate to give my daughter a better life. What are my chances? What else could i do?
