Parking Tickets: Parking in Handicap Place

My question involves a traffic citation from the state of: NJ

Hello,
I have recently received a ticket for parking in a handicap space in NJ. I cooperated with the officer and provided everything he needed. My handicap sign was properly displayed. And I received the ticker because the officer and I quote " the handicap person DID NOT get out the car" hence to why I received the ticket. This is my first offense. I have stated to the officer twice that the handicap person was inside the car. He kept emphasizing that the handicap person didn't get out the car and that's why I got the ticket. He did not asked for the ID of the handicap person. According to the officer I have violated law 72.05A. Is there anyway I can fight this?
Thanks in advance.
