My husband's father gave him land in 2013. We are now trying to build a house on this land and were are having trouble because his father had a lien on the property. His mother and father got divorced in 2010 and his father took out a lien on the property so he could pay her off. We have asked his father to remove the lien and he said he has requested a release of the lien from the lien holder but has not gotten a response. We are in a time sensitive situation due to our loan paperwork has an expiration date. How can we get this loan removed ASAP?
