My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: California; Lafayette
This question is more of a clarification for me and my roommate but we are trying to move out and the other roommates still want to live in the apartment we are trying to leave. They are trying to say that the only way out of the lease is a buy out which ended up untrue. We discussed what our next steps would be and the regional manager said it would be signing the roommate release form. Once we sign are we completely free from paying the rent? I'm just trying to understand what exactly happens when a roommate release form is signed
