HOA left a notice on my car on Thursday evening (6pm) because of parking in a non-designated area. Then they towed my car on Saturday morning, which is less than 48 hours of notice. Although the notice stated clearly that they were only giving me 24 hours to remove the car from that area, I am wondering if state law does states that HOA should give at least a certain amount of hours before towing cars from a property. The area that I parked was a visitor's parking area. No signs indicated parking was not allowed, nor that was a blocked area (e.g. fire lane, etc.). I think it was very unfair for HOA to give only 24 hours for me to remove my car. I know certain states like CA, they do state that HOA should give at least 72 hours of notice before towing a car. I'd like to know if GA law states the same. If so, I'll be filing a complaint against my HOA for towing my car without giving enough time of notice.
