Hi, I was involved in a car accident where I was taking a left turn on a solid green signal.
Now at the intersection, a car hit me from the other street jumping the red.
Police arrived and the other party lied that she is in the same lane as mine and my car hit hers during turning and she was very emotional as though I did something wrong. There is no camera at the traffic signal to prove what happened or that she jumped the signal. The police report supports what she said and not my version. So its now I am at fault as per the report, I was restless for the past week thinking about how I was named at fault for someone jumping the signal and hitting me.
I tried to check if there is any private office cameras near to the signal. Luckily there was one, and they are kind enough to provide the footage where its clearly shows that she jumped the signal and hit my car.
Now that I have proof that she lied to police.
what should I do next? Is it not a crime/felony to lie on the report?
