My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: NJ
Hello, can anyone let me know if receiving 3 tickets for the same issue is common in NJ? I went down and then up a hill and didn't look at the speedometer but the office stated I did 94 going up the hill (stupid decision, but didn't realize I was going that fast to check the speedometer.) I noticed him 3 miles past that part he mentioned of where it happened and then he pulled me over. He gave me 3 summonses:
1. Speeding
2. Careless Driving
3. Obey Speed Signs - Failure
Is this a little excessive or common?
More importantly, should I hire a lawyer? This occurred in NJ, but I'm a resident of NY.
