My question involves criminal law for the state of: Indiana
So, as far as I know I'm allowed to SEE him, as his parole officer hasn't said anything like that. But we were told we needed to present our marriage license so that he could "approve" or "deny" our relationship. I sent that, but didn't hear back from him. A week later, my husband told me that his parole officer informed him we have to wait to hear back about that in 6 months, when he has his polygraph test. We also are not allowed to live together, but I feel like this is less as much as a big deal, since I visit him pretty regularly. Is there anything we can do to have this lifted? I feel like it's really ridiculous that he has to APPROVE our relationship, we've been married for 2 years! He only has 16 months on parole before he's done with everything. His offense isn't DV or anything like that. We basically have to be platonic, no sexual contact of any kind. While some might think that's a ridiculous thing to be upset about, I MARRIED him so I could do this kind of stuff!
