My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Texas
I am currently in the process of constructing a pool and have a question about utility easements. The construction is set to begin within the next couple of days and the utility lines were marked two days ago. My property has a utility easement of 10 ft in the front and 8 ft in the back but all the utilities are in the front easement. While they were marking the lines they discovered an oncor line running through my property not within a utility easement listed on my survey. My first question is how are they allowed to run a utility not within the easements listed on the surveys? My next question is if they are not allowed to do this what is the remedy?
