My question involves malpractice in the state of: Ohio
Greetings Everyone
I have a sad story about the possibilities of the drug Risperdal and the side effect of Gynecomastia, ok when I was younger about 21yrs of age I am now 31 I was prescribed Risperdal I took a range of doses from 1mg to 4mg twice daily sometimes with Dr's the instructions ranging from Three pills twice a day, to one pill twice a day, from half a pill twice a day.The reasons the dosage changed it was gauged from the level of psychotic episode I was experiencing at that current time.I took this drug for maybe 5 years while sometimes i felt ok but not fully functioning at the normal level as an young adult in society,while i took this drug I was not a very small guy still I am not a very small guy.while taking this medicine I trippled in size all the way up to the mid 3 triple number range.my condition was very bad I really did not know what i was doing to myself due to my bad mental state at the time i went through terrible episodes once resulting in a short stay at a mental hospital I was up and down constantly
Fast forward Risperdal stopped working completely I switched to many other meds some worked for a short period some didn't but my mental state was improving and I started to work more on my body and try to change for the better which is a struggle im still facing today.So here is why i think I have Gynecomastia now granted I have been a big guy since Jr High So as a young adult I was changing shirts and my grandmother walked in and said WOW your breast are so swollen! wow at the the time i just thought t i was just very obese,Another incident im standing up talking to my brother with a under shirt on my brother grabs mt breast and said wow you need to lose weight,There were many Incidents in between that happen'd with comments on the size of my breast but this is what hit home just yesterday. So my mother becomes ill and I have to call 9-1-1 so the paramedics arrive take my mother out to the ambulance,figured she was just simple anxiety attack and my mother mentions I hope im ok i dont want my son to worry(me) while im at the hospital the female paramedic goes why would he be worried He's 31, my mother explains he has issues she says mental issues she says yes,Out of the blue the paramedic ask did he ever take Rispserdal my mother says yes when he was younger then she says does he have Gynecomastia she says I don't know but he thinks he does!
So right know I am very upset that im a big guy with breast and one bigger than the other, As I opened the door for EMS I had a very tight flanal white shirt I grabbed the first thing to put on as i knew that the EMS would arrive soon,at the same time im talking to the 9-1-1 operator and taking directions on how to help my mother at she was very frantic at the time.So im guessing the size of my breast are very noticeable,Also I talked to my primary doctor years ago and asked her flat out about my breast size I simply said could the Risperdal have caused breast enlargement as she laughs she says maybe being over weight and Risperdal maybe the combination of the two, she suggested I do planks and lift weights.
So Im looking for information on my next course of action in this matter I have learned the company that makes Risperdal has pending lawsuits against them I HAVE also seen the commercial;A about the Risperdal, should i pursue this? also I do not have funds to hire a personal lawyer but google has a ton of firms asking for people who have experienced breast enlargement to contact them,but im not sure they are legit I have no clue about the law or legal system period
