My question involves restraining orders in the State of: Utah
I need advice. I am curently 17-years-old, however I will be 18 late April. I identity as a lesbian. I have a girlfriend who turned 18 last month.
Now that she is 18, she and I, and her parents are concerned my homophobic mother will try to file a restraining order as a desperate last attempt to separate us. I doubt she would go to such a length. However, it would be of great relief to know of what the possibilities are in this situation.
We also fear she may go ever farther and try to file a false-rape accusation.
I don't know how that would go over.
