Speeding Tickets: How to Plea Bargain a Speeding Ticket in California

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California

Hello,
I received a speeding ticket back in around the end of May and have not received a courtesy notice. The date that I am suppose to show up for court is on July 1st, 2017 in Kern county which is about a little more than a 2 hour drive. When I got pulled over the officer asked me for an estimate of how fast I was going. Being that it was the first time I ever gotten pulled over I just answered and said "fast, around 85?". He proceeded to give me a ticket with the code 223489(B) saying that I was going 101 MPH and my answer was 85. I'm not too familiar with what to do so any advice/answers would help!

I am guessing since I answered his question with a number and it is written on the ticket I won't be able to plead not guilty. However my biggest question right now is that if it is possible to plea a bargain saying i'm guilty and request the judge/prosecutor to lower the charge to 22349(A)because it was only 1 MPH over. However I am completely unsure of how to do so. I read that it is possible to plea a bargain to a prosecutor but only is there is one on the day of my court hearing. Am I also able to plea a bargain in front of the judge?

Another question I also have is that I called the court clerk earlier today and they said my court attendance was mandatory, that or I can write a letter pleading guilty. She also said something about coming in on any Friday at 8:00am or 1:00pm I believe. What happens if I show up on those Fridays? Will I be put in front of a judge just the same as if I were to show up on my court date on July 1st?

My main concern is avoiding the licenses suspension cause it would be a huge inconvenience with school and work, also if possible to avoid 2 points (or any at all) on my parent's insurance.

Thank you so much for any help!
I'm hoping to get some information soon because I am considering attending the Friday court sessions (which are tomorrow)
