My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Elkhart Indiana. I moved to Alabama a year ago from Elkhart Indiana. I have a child with an ex who both still live there. I havnt had contact with my child for 2 years prior to moving (due to her not letting me see our child by her choice, not mine). She doesn't have my address or know where I live. My choice, she has severe issues and tried to bring me physical harm. If she decided to file for child support and with me being in another state with her not knowing my current address can the judge issue a warrant for my arrest? My name is on the birth certificate (witch im aware in that secludes dna)but have not done DNA and we have never been to court for c.s,paternity, or custody. Is there anyone out there that is familiar with Elkhart Indiana specifically that can answer this question besides the prosecutor. Elkhart has its own rules separate from the state hens why I'm asking for someone specifically from this county. Thank you in advance.
