My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: South dakota---
Does anyone know what the statute of limitations is for South Dakota on the terms of Wrongful termination/ Retaliation is?
Back in january i was fired for speaking to the mayor about drug problems at the city and then a few months later after all of it was building up i was basically fired. I have video proof of alot of this stuff but no lawyer will take this case because South Dakota is a right to work state so they say its hard to win and not worth it. I still want to sue though win or lose. So if i took this to civil court without a lawyer how hard would it be? I have the time to study this stuff i just need to know where to start and books etc to read to learn it. I feel even though its a right to work state i can still win because alot of the rules they went against was their own policy book.
But if anyone has these answers or any way to help guide me to get this going please let me know. My biggest question though is am i running out of time ...its been about 120 days?
Thanks`
