Speeding Tickets: North Carolina Speeding Ticket(S) - 2 in 24 Hours

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: North Carolina

This was my first time ever getting pulled over, and I was batshit nervous. It was around 12:45 at night. I was heading to the beach for the weekend with my girlfriend and I was ticketed going 60 in a 45. However I thought it was 55, but I don't think that buys me anything lol. Now I'm confused on what I should do, as the ticket says I don't have to appear to court, and it says just to send the money by set date; however I am being fined 30.00 for the ticket and 188.00 for court cost? If I attend court does that cost still apply, or no?

Also, on the way back from the beach today, I got yet another speeding ticket, and I've never had an issue with speeding. But this time I was caught at 91 in a 70. However, I don't believe his reading was accurate, or my speedmometer might be off. My girlfriend was in the car with me watching me and she doesn't think I was going that fast either. However, this officer said I had to appear in court on set date, and doesn't have a fee. Does this mean I have to hire an attorney? I'm just trying to figure out my options here.

Thanks for any legal advice, as I've never been in this position, and if I am, i would like to know how to respond.
