My question involves an impounded vehicle in New Jersey. My boyfriend had my car in New Jersey & I live in PA. He parked it on a snow route & the car was ticketed by police & towed to impound. I spoke to the tow company & they say that I (the owner) has to come & get the car. The police say (the owner) has to get the paperwork to get the car out of impound. I don't have a way to get to the car. I wanted to give the tow company the car but it's still being paid on. Is it possible to have a paper motorized foe someone else to pick it up? What are my options?
