i am the stepmother of a child whose mother's rights have been taken and my husband has full custody. my husband and i will be married a year in july and we would like to start adoption processes then. i have been the primary mother of this child for 2 years, the child will be 3 in july. the bio mother has had some contact but not at all consistent and goes months without hearing from her. How should i go about the adoption process and what should i expect going into it. any advice would be great. thankyou!
