My question concerns a incident I had recently with a dealership(2) and my lien holder(1) for my old truck. in feb I purchased a truck from a dealership(2). Part of my deal was they would pay off my current loan on my truck. well there were issues with the new lender so it delayed processing of the funds. the lien holder knowing that there was a deal in place got upset and repossessed my old truck as opposed to escalating with the new dealership(2) regarding their payment. I feel this was a violation of the statutes governing repossessions. I liken this to me trading in the vehicle with a lien on it. The old lender wouldn't have been able to repossess the truck under those circumstances and [probably wouldn't even try.
