My question involves business law in the state of: Florida
I'm employed by a small business in Florida which involves getting parts at different places.
The son of one of the old owners has recently took control of it, which meant moving it to a better place and changing every account over to his name and the new mailing address and the old owners, who own the old building, got new renters.
The problem is that, even though we've been mailing/emailing/calling/faxing/anything we can think of for at least 6 months, we cant get one of our vendors to change the billing address they have. We called one day, got someone who said to download, fill out and email or fax a form to them and it would be changed. When the email didn't work after a month we faxed it and they still ignored us. We are no longer there and the new tenants of that building keep getting our bills. They're really not happy about it and we keep having to pay late cause we have to pick up our bill (from a bunch of grumps to be honest) every month.
Is there any way we can threaten them legally to get their attention? The owner was talking about something else but it made me think, can we get them for sending our sensitive information to people that aren't us? We still need their business but I have a feeling with the way they've been ignoring us nothing but a threat will work.
