My question involves in a towed jetski from my aparment complex in the state of Georgia (gwinnett county). My jet ski was towed away in the beginning of december. Initially to this i went to the leasing office because i tought i had been towed for some other reason. They told me that they did not request for it to be towed away. One of the leasing agents called the towing vompany who they contract as well as one of the drivers who workes for the towing company and they said that they didnt have it. So i called all the towing companies around to check and no luck. The day that occurred the gates where not working so i tought it was stolen so i made a police report and report it stolen. I got a letter on January 29th from the towing company that was dated for January 25 . It was towed for " expired tag" in which is wrong beacuse my tag is current. The sticker was stolen from my tag. The leasing office didnt notify me when i asked they didnt know and the towing company does not validate my registration. They wnat more than $1600 for me to get it out and if i dont pay it i can loose it. What can i do both companies thow the ball to each other and i dont know what to do . Please advise me!!
