Eviction Process: The Person I Live with is Being Evicted. What Are My Options

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Alabama

Hello,
I am currently living with my father who has owned the property for 40 years. I was informed 2 weeks ago that he is being evicted. I was not aware that he had been foreclosed on. He submitted a rental application and was of course, denied. Do I have the option to rent the property? The property itself is in pitiful shape and the house needs some upgrades but is by no means in bad condition. The problem for the new owner (a real estate agent) is they have not seen the property and the house cannot be brought up to code due to it being custom built. There are also 4 other dilapidated structures on 5 acres of odd shaped hills and falling trees. It will be a cash only sale and it will likely sit for a very long time. My dad has found a place to move and he has come to terms with it as he has cancer, he is "under water" and realizes this place would be no kind of investment. Investment or not, for a number of reasons, I want to stay here. Do I have any options?
