My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Texas
So I received a citation from the city of Keller for disregarding an official traffic control device (i.e., cutting through a parking lot) and, upon studying the darn thing, noticed only the violation is listed. There's no reference to the Texas Transportation Code section by number (544.004, in this case) like the way other agencies, such as Texas DPS, list them.
I have two questions; first, does the state require municipalities to list violations by both name and section, and second, is it possible to get it dismissed because the citation does not follow the letter of the law?
Thanks for any help!
