My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California
How would I know its considered driving in a bus lane if I am just passing a car turning left in the left lane? This is not clear and I got a ticket today doing this, which I did right in front of a cop because I didn't know it wasn't illegal. I realize that negligence is on me, but who has time to know every rule. Intuitively I would think that someone driving in it is wrong, even if there's no busses in sight, but to pass quickly, and never really enter the lane?
