My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of MD. I had no idea my license was suspended until my husband was pulled over today and the officer ran BOTH of our licenses (is that normal)? Anyway, the officer gave him a warning for no front plate and said "by the way, did you know your license is suspended?" to me! I did not! Just went online to look and apparently I have an unpaid ticket for not having my wallet/license on me (from Feb 2017). I thought it was just a warning when I got it! Also, two weeks ago I was rear-ended, can I now get in trouble? What do I do from here? It's a $50 fine -- do I just call and pay it and it gets lifted? Should I get a lawyer? I need to drive to work tomorrow but what can I do on a Sunday??
