My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Louisiana and Mississippi
I really need some help with this. I was recently living in Las Vegas Nv, I had a son about 6 months ago. About a month ago my son's father passed away. Just before hand my sons father and I had completed our requirements from cps in las vegas and they closed our case, giving my sons father and myself custody of him. Then unfortunately he passed away, At this time I brought our son to Mississippi to be with the paternal grandmother, while I packed up and moved to Louisiana to be closer to my sons father's family and some of my family. It took me about a month to get down to Louisiana get a place and get everything situated. Yesterday the paternal grandmother sent a picture to my phone of a temporary custody order for my son to stay with her. I have no idea what the laws are regarding this involving 3 different states. I want my son, any legal advice would be greatly appreciated.
