My question involves defamation in the state of: Bowling Green, KY.
Motel checked someone else with my ID in. They stole 4 or 5 TVs. The cops showed up at my door and took my statement and my pic to show the guy at the motel which I didn't have a problem with since I was innocent. He then lied and made a positive id. 3 months later cops showed up with a warrant and i was arrested for burglary and theft. Two felonies... Everyone saw me get arrested. People I know seen my mugshot and now think I'm a thief. All they had was my id (or the paperwork the employee did) and the guy at the motel that didn't do his job as the witness. No finger prints. They didn't have me on cam or anything since I've never, not once stayed there. The guy that that checked the thief seem to just have said yeah cause he didn't do his job and didn't want to lose his job. I was looking at a max of 10 years for something I had nothing to do with. Someone Found My Id and Checked into a Motel and Stole from It
