My question involves restraining orders in the State of: NJ
My girlfriend's estranged husband (let's call him ex) left the marital home months ago.
Ex threatened GF that he would file a restraining order against me, unless she agrees submits to his terms. He wants her to agree that I will never enter her home and never have any contact with her child.
I have never met or spoken or written with him. I have a squeaky clean record. GF is living in the marital home taking care of a child. I presume this order will be laughed out of court - but will this have a deleterious impact on my record and have to be expunged? I am a working professional and fear a 'background' which includes a failed order.
What are my legal options to protect myself?
