My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Missouri
I was pulling out of a bar parking lot late at night doing a good samaritan deed by picking up some cigarettes for a customer that was too drunk to drive. I was turning left out of the bar parking lot and the cop was headed towards me from my left. I pulled out in front of the cop, however she was a good 30 feet away from me by the time I was in my own lane. She turned around and sited me for not yielding to her.
I feel that the cop was profiling me thinking I was drunk when she pulled me over, but the problem is that I recently closed on my house and am moving out of state never to return to missouri.
My court date is set for 20 days after I am set to move out of state and when i called the courthouse, they said i guess you're going to get a warrant for your arrest then....
What am i supposed to do? I have a lease signed in idaho already, and I cannot afford to stay here another half a month until i can go to the court date. Plus i start my new job out in idaho 10 days before that court date.
My Main Concern is:
If a warrant is issued can I end up getting pulled over in idaho, am I going to be hauled off to jail in missouri for such a stupid traffic violation that was unjustly given?
