My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: United Kingdom.
Dear lawyers,
I have fractured my right ankle playing football 2 months ago. Went to the hospital, did Xrays, had a cast for 6 weeks and also had the off-sick note from the doctor.
Because of bunisess needs, I asked to my manager if I could work from home, and after he consulted HR, he sent me an email saying it was okay for me working from home for the next 6 weeks and thanks me on the same occasion for my efforts toward the company.
Now that I am back, both HR and my manager are asking me the Off-sick note.:confused:
Why are they insisting on asking me the off-sick note when we agreed that I would have been working from home?
Am I right thinking that their behavior is not fair?
Thanks and regard,
Anthony.
