Help us sue Kaiser this situation is killing my mom, she cry's and doesn't want to live anymore because Kaiser made a false medical claim and picture of a birth mark on the genitals. Every appointment she goes to they only open that up and it is making my mother embarrassed and she is just going crazy. My goal is to raise enough money for an attorney, Kaiser is a big company and attorneys have offered 7-10 thousand dollars to take the case. My mother never gave Dr. Christine Ti-Mei Kuo, any consent but she wrote that she did. She never fixed that mistake and it is literally killing my mother. I can't live seeing this happening to my mother and in America.
At Kaiser at Roseville On October 18, 2016 Moles were detected by my mother's gynecologist and forwarded her to be seen by primary care physician in order to be referred to dermatology department those moles were seen for more than 30 years by other gynecologists and was told that many women have the same discoloration and are not dangerous and to be addressed. The gynecologists who inspected my mother was a new doctor and did not ask any questions and assumed something was wrong and false alarmed to be been by dermatologist for biopsy, further biopsy results came negative and she was told not to come or to schedule appointment for follow up and treatment were not needed. my mother was not aware that pictures were taken by Dr.Chistine Yi-Mei Kuo, the primary care physician on October 21, 2016 Dr.Christine Yi-Mei Kuo did a full image of her genitalia instead of just taking photo of the mole itself, and never covered her appropriately. My mother was sent to be seen by a dermatologist and was unaware that further pictures were taken by her Dr. Keller Lia Carol. My mom came couple months later with two surgeries and was coming to see a follow up appointment. During subsequent appointments the images of female genitalia were projected on full computer screen for anyone with access to her computerized medical record to view. Male doctors whether medical assistants or doctors were able to see and read private information of her genitalia, these photos were placed in imaging tab of her medical record and were easily assessable to employees that were not involved in the treatment or monitoring of these moles and therefore had no need to view these images. The image tab makes private sensitive images available to all Kaiser Employees with access to her medical record and does not provide her with care and no recognition to her dignity. Some doctors and medical assistants were involved in reading and viewing photos of her private area for a unrelated appointment. For example, An ENT doctor proceeded to open her medical record and then began reviewing all pictures available on her file including the private sensitive photos and information, and wanted to know information on the moles, in which, the doctor was not a dermatologist. An ENT doctor is specialized in the treatment of head and neck, but wants to know what she has on her genitalia. She was embarrassed and ashamed and psychologically distressed, and asked the doctor not to look at those pictures. This was just one example, every appointment my mother goes to they expose the private sensitive photos. Kaiser denied her amendment claiming they cannot help her remove the photo and not offering any solution to hide private information and photos. Kaiser also apologized but they can't help her and the photos have to be there and saying they deeply understand and regret.
Why I am writing thisEveryday for almost two years my mother is just suffering mentally and physically she is embarrassed to go to the hospital because every time is the same scenario employees are opening private genitalia photos in all Kaiser clinics. Kaiser is just killing my mother and all they say stuff such as "sorry we cannot do anything to help you and cannot remove the photos because we do not have the right to do so." Just because they have a policy it does not matter to them if they are mentally and physically destroying another persons life. I will not watch my mother get her life destroyed by some rich corrupt company who does not support to protect the rights of a patient. My mother has several lesions in her mouths detected by three oral specialists telling her its possible cancer and needs biopsy and emergency care. My mother is so psychologically hurt by always being exposed by the doctors she just suffering and will not visit doctor because of the past memories of being embarrassed and ashamed. Also,Kaisers med legal attorney called my mother on April 19,2018 telling her Kaiser will be defending themselves and will sending images of her private areas to male experts, when my mother asked to be reviewed by only female staff.
Only option My mother hasThe only option she has is a lawyer which is a crazy amount of money for a average person to have to pay for just removing a picture that Kaiser took. did. Dr. Chistine Yi-Mei Kuo took a picture without my mothers consent which has lead to many other problems. No Kaiser patient or any other other person should not have to put up with these type of violations. Kaiser needs to pay for their damages.
