Defective Products: Fractured Tooth from Bread Chip in Bagged Fresh Salad Kit. Where to File Claim

My question involves an injury that occurred in the state of: California

Four months ago I mixed a bag of fresh salad with the supplied ingredients contained in the bag. Took one bite and OUCH. Severe pain. Examined the product and there were thick hard bread chips. Dentist said the tooth, which was previously normal, now had a complete fracture. It had to be removed and an implant placed, about $5,000.

I'm in Santa Clara County, and the salad grower and bagger is two counties away.

If a smalls claims action is filed, is it filed in the county where the tooth was damaged? Or filed in the county of the salad grower and bagger?

A friend told me the statue of limitations is two years from the date of injury, not one year. True?
