My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: California
Hello, I am on a month-to-month contract with 4 other people (5 total). 3 of us want to terminate the lease and give in our 30 days notice, however, the other 2 are refusing to terminate and are insisting to finding replacements instead. On the contract, it states that we are jointly and severely liable. Our landlord said we are not able to terminate unless we have all 5 signatures, and we can't release our names unless we find replacements. What are our options?
