Eliminating Position with Hospital by Offering Physicians Money to Hire Us

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Texas. I am a Nurse Practitioner who was hired by a large healthcare company to work in the local ICU to work for the company but be privilideged with which ever critical care doctors requested NP collaboration. It was done in this manner so as not to violate compliance laws. For 8 years I have done this without issue and exceed evals. The hospital is offering this group of MDs more money in their new contract to "have the NP work for them and not the hospital". Essentially, I will do the same job and the hospital will reap the same benefit from me (eg my documentation is excellent and their billing and CMS documentation score benefits from this). However I will no longer receive any benefits offered by the corporations (PTO, ELB, stock discounts, 401 K etc.). These benefits are the main reason I took the job. Is this appropriate? Legal? Thank you for your advice in advance.
