My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: CA
I feel for my LL because i guess the previous tenants here were pretty bad, but we still dont have access to the garage almost two weeks after moving in as the old tenant has yet to pick up their things out of it. The apt was shown to us with belongings in the garage with the understanding that they will have been moved out before the end of last month and we would have full use of garage at that time. we have yet to receive the opener or a key and have heard no word about anyone coming by to pick anything up anytime soon. can i withhold a portion of the rent since we paid extra for the garage? (it is detatched and was optional)
