My question involves a child custody case from the State of: NY
My child 8 months ago was removed from her mother's home by cps and temporarily placed with her aunt. Her aunt has legal guardianship and recently opened up a case for public assistance. I was notified that they are trying to get child support from me to be paid to her aunt due to the public assistance case being opened. My question is since I have been paying support all along for the same child to her mother, are they able to make me pay double support?
