My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Illinois and California
I signed a non compete for one year. The contract is fairly vague in terms of location, however it has strict language. That being said, the company was purchased by a private equity firm in California, so my paychecks were being sent from CA.
I believe I read something about the non-compete not being legal in CA.
If I incorporate my new company in CA, would I be good to go?
I left the company about 6 weeks ago.
