My question involves a child custody case from the State of: California
My ex and I have joint legal and physical custody. My ex passed away a couple weeks ago and I am trying to get the kids school and medical records. I found out the step mom had taken my information off of everything and put herself as the mother. I sent the school my children's birth certificate and our custody agreement and they sent me the records. The Doctor's office is refusing because they say they have a picture of her and she has signed everything as the mother. I have sent them all the documents and they say they aren't good enough. That I need the court to say I am the only custodial parent. I contacted the court and they said there is nothing for me to file with the court to say that. Due to his death the custody is only mine. SO my question is can I have her charged for a crime here? She is refusing to communicate with me about any of their documents and now I am jumped through hoops to prove I am the parent. Thanks for any help here.
