Emancipation: Emancipation Procedure

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Tennessee. I'm 17 years old and am seeking help in applying for legal emancipation. I have a job, but haven't been there in about 2 weeks due to my mother requesting my managers take me off the schedule. My mother and I DO NOT get along and although I love her, I feel as though emancipation would be best. We havent been getting along for the last year and a half, and I basically take care of myself now. I get myself to and from work, wash my own clothes, buy my own groceries, pay my car insurance every 6 months, and buy anything I need with my own money. I'm basically emancipated now, but i don't know how to go about getting it done. I turn 18 in 6 months, and was wondering is it too late? I feel as though by being emancipated, I can work like I need to, and not have to rely on my mother to sign any papers I need, or control everything. I know being adult is far from easy, but I basically take care of myself now.But if I stay with her, my life will be harder because its at the hands of my mother. Please help! The only thing, she does for me is provide roof over my head, the rest is on me.By the way, I'm adopted. I was born in Ohio, when I become emancipated, will she still get a check for me, or will I get it?
